Going from 1 little girl to 2 little girls

So this past friday I spent it at ToysRus, Kohls, and other department stores with all of the other insane black friday shoppers. The only thing that struck me when I had been standing in line for 3 hours at 3:30 in the morning at ToysRus was that I it was the last time I would be shopping for only one child. Next year it is double duty and I was instantly flooded with emotion and it really hit me that we are going to be having not only one carseat in the car, but two. Double the ponytails and double the laundry, double the goodnight kisses, double the amount of cuddles and books being read. Double the tantrums (they really aren't that bad now) =) Another stocking will need to be made for Christmases, and double the picture frames on my walls. Double th elittle girl screams and double the sippy cups around my house =) Its so freaky to me how 6 months ago, 9 months seemed so far away and now, literally in 15 weeks we will be a family of 4. My belly just seems to continually growing at an exponential rate, she gets more active everyday.

Its so crazy because I can already tell differences between these two little girls. When I was pregnant with KaiLey Jo, she kicked and kicked and kicked all day long 7 days a week. No matter what I was doing, she was awake and letting me know that she was around. If Johnny Cash was playing or if Bob Wold was singing at LCC she was dancing around to the music in my belly, still to this day she loves to dance to Johnny Cash, wierd I know =). KaiLey still to this day is not a big cuddler unless we are watching a movie or she is very tired. But little Miss Amelia is quite different. She spends most of her time sleeping, kicking me randomly. She likes to curl up into a little ball at the top of my belly, this is neat cause I can feel the back of her body against the top of my belly. But if she decides that it is time to kick me, then she goes full bore and already you can watch and feel her kicks from the outside. KaiLey Jo is a massive daddy's girl unless she just woke up, but I am so excited to see how thse two girls are alike and different.

I am so ready to have another baby and another daughter. Its so amazing to me how the Lord just knows what is best for you, both times I have thought that my girls were boys, but God had something else in mind for me and again he knows so much better what I need in my life than I do.

Revelation

For some reason tonight, I am so thankful for my life, family, and faith. I love my husband and daughters more than anything in this world, and I am so in love with Jesus it is unbelievable. I truly am so blessed to have my foundation and to have theility to trust my entre life in his hands and know that it was him who gave me life and brings joy to my life everyday. I can see my savior in my daughters eyes everyday and I can feel it in John's touch. I found a new favorite christian artist and it has brought this dark spot in my life back into focus and back into the light. He has loved me my entire life, no matter the mistakes and changes I have made.

My hurt was so real for so long and I thought that I was worthless. I have made such massive leaps and bounds, but tonight I really feel as though I am weightless, nothing is weighing me down anymore. I feel free and marvelous. I just wanted to share this.

October 28th, 2009

So I have been reading some of my friends blogs on here and they were really neat to be able to see what is going on and everything with their lives. We live apart from our families and SO I was thinking that this would be a great option to document our times and be able to have our families read up on what has been happening with us. We have our golden retriever Maggie May who is almost 7 months. We enjoy our lives and looking forward to seeing the future blessings to come. Here is little Amelia Jean Swenson.

Living in Corvallis is fun but I really miss the coast. We live in a sensible two bedroom apartment and have for about 1.5 years. John and I have been married for about 2.5 years now and its just as wonderful as we started out. We have a wonderful church here and enjoy our tuesday night bible studies with other couples. Corvallis is beautiful in the fall and the leaves are absolutley gorgeous!

John
John has been busy with soccer and school.. The Ford scholorship really makes life easy for us these days. He works so hard. He is getting his BA in Health and Human Sciences with the pre physical therapy option. He is in his second year at OSU and is starting on the mens soccer team. Balancing life, school, soccer, and family has shown to be a bit of a challenge, but he is adjusting and getting more atune to it everyday.

KamBria
Well I am still going to school through the University of Phoenix Axia Online college, and am almost finished with my second year. I am working towards my BA in healthcare administration. I figure its a safe area to go into these days. I love staying home with my daughter, KaiLey Jo, and I do run a small day care from my home. We are expecting our second daughter in March 2010 so we are over joyed to be able to give KaiLey Jo a sister. I walk about 2.5 to 3 miles everyday and so far have only gained 1 pound with the pregnancy and I am half way there! With KaiLey I was almost breaking thirty.. so things are going well so far!

KaiLey Jo
Welp KaiLey Jo is one smart cookie, =) she really is starting to expand her vocabulary and show us this personality that growns by miles everyday. She has begun to mimc more and pretend play. Today we pretended there were sharks and we couldnt get off the couch, she was very into that and enjoys playing with her parents. She is in to minnie mouse right now, but it doesn't come close to Caillou, Dragon Tales, or Berenstein Bears. She loves to read books and play with her monkey "ooh ooh". Right now she likes to put her toys on timeouts for whinning.. it is hilarious. She loves playing at the parks and going to her grandparents homes. She is going to be two here on Nov 8th, so we are going to be having a birthday party for her on halloween. I am hoping it doesn't rain!
